How
You Can Make a Difference... The Wellness Community-South
Bay Cities (TWC-SBC) provides services at no cost whatsoever
to its participants and their loved ones. Participants are
never solicited for funds. Therefore, in order to meet our
annual budget, TWC-SBC solicits financial assistance from
individuals, corporations and foundations. We also hold several
fundraising events throughout the year.

YOU
can support TWC-SBC in one or more of the following ways
Tribute Gifts - Honor and/or memorialize special individuals
by giving to TWC-SBC's Memorial/Tribute Fund. This special
gift recognizes not only the individual honored, but also
assists TWC-SBC in meeting its mission.
Tree of Life Gifts - Donations
of $2500 or more within a calendar year, from either a single gift or cumulative
gifts (i.e. in honor or memory of someone), are recognized with an engraved leaf
on our Tree of Life. Locate in our Living Room, our Tree of Life is not
deciduous!
Victor's Circle Membership - Individuals making a contribution
of $1,000 or more in a calendar year become a member of Victor's
Circle and attend a special annual recognition dinner.
Restricted Contributions - You may make a restricted
contribution to fund a specific program which is of special
interest to you, such as a networking group or relaxation/visualization,
or fund a project such as the newsletter or annual report.
Matching Gifts - If your employer has a Matching Gift
Policy, you may be able to double the amount of your contribution.
Check with your Human Resources Department.
Planned Giving - Finally, you may wish to remember
TWC-SBC in your estate planning with a gift of life insurance,
securities, IRA accounts, real estate or any other planned
gift. You can discuss this with your attorney and/or financial
advisor. If you include The Wellness Community in your
will or trust, please notify us and we will be sure to acknowledge your
thoughtfulness on our new "Living Wellness... Today, Tomorrow" wall.

United Way - You can direct payroll deducted United Way contributions to The Wellness Community - South Bay Cities by using our United Way donor number 39490. If you do donate through United Way please let us know so we can follow-up with them to make sure your donation comes to The Wellness Community.

No Sweat Fundraising!
The Wellness Community
has an incredible opportunity to partner with over 60 local
and national merchants involved in a program called E-scrip.
It’s easy – you pre-register your Vons or Pavilions
Club card, your Chevron gas card, as well as any other Visa,
Master Card, American Express, Discover or debit cards you use
and 2% or more is donated directly to The Wellness Community
– South Bay Cities.
We will do the sign up for you. To make it happen, just complete the enclosed “Sign-up Form” and send it to the address on the form, we'll do the rest; or go on-line to www.escrip.com and use the group ID number 11698726. We will make arrangements to come to your place of business and sign up your employees or co-workers.
If we can sign-up 1,000 people, it will mean an estimated donation of $100,000 to The Wellness Community to fund existing and additional programs.

in-kind contributions
In-kind gifts are always needed at TWC-SBC. See our wish list for ideas. In addition, donated professional services help tremendously.
- Frequent flyer miles to be used as
opportunity drawing or auction prizes for our fundraising events
- Gift items, vacation packages, timeshares, etc. to include in the “Celebrate
Wellness” silent auction in July
- Wine for “Celebrate Wellness”, our signature food and wine tasting event
- Matching side chairs with arms for our group rooms
- Office & Kitchen supplies (paper, printer cartridges, facial tissue, paper
towels, etc.)
- Current health and wellness books for our Resource Library
- Nutritional snacks for any upcoming educational workshop
gifts of time
We are always in need of volunteers for our special events, health fairs, and other activities! We are also looking for help in our office during the week (i.e. answering phone calls, assisting with clerical duties, etc.). Your support through one or more of the giving opportunities listed above is critical to help TWC-SBC provide a place where cancer patients can receive the tools and support necessary to become powerful partners in their fight for recovery.
